Last week, 36 students, of V3d and H3a TTO, and 4 teachers visited the city of Copenhagen. The program was partly developed by the students themselves. We all enjoyed the trip and the atmosphere was great.
Program:
Monday: Grand tour by boat (Rundetaarn), lunch pick-nick, Picture quiz tour, dinner at Chili’s, swimming in DGI Byen.
Tuesday: Experimentarium (included Body World), lunch pick-nick, akvarium, assignment game (Nyhavn), all you can eat buffet, at Manhattan, games evening in Danhostel.
Wednesday: Visit of Christiansborg, lunch pick-nick, kajaking at Amager Strand, ‘dinner’ at McDonald’s, dropping.
Thursday: Bicycle tour throughout the city, lunch pick-nick, souvenir hunt in Strøget, individual dinner, return to Weert.
During the trip, the students could earn points for several things, you can find the list below.
Group 1: (3 points)
- Best complainer (Stan)
- Locked the locker so well, that he had to cut the lock (Stan)
- Best map reader on Thursday (Stan)
Group 2: (7 points)
- Second place in solving the puzzle (whole group)
- Best map reader on Monday (Steven)
- Second place in Picturequiz tour (whole group)
- Asked for a Mc Kroket in Denmark (Jordi)
- Waited so long for the elevator, that he took the stairs from the 7th floor with his luggage (Ralf)
- Best sprinter (Tom)
- Hid himself in the locker (Tom)
Group 3: (4 points)
- Best contact with Danish girls (Ben and Michael)
- Lost his glasses while he was kajaking (Calvin)
- Forgot his bag after kajaking (Calvin)
Group 4: (2 point)
- Cleaned up first at the McDonalds all by himself (Marc)
- Smallest group (whole group = 3 people)
Group 5: (8 points)
- First place in assignment game (whole group)
- The most persistent in “soppen” (Lincy)
- Walking on “sleehakken” (=sled heals??) (Lisa and Lotte)
- Doing grocery shopping for lunch (almost whole group)
- Bringing back the last roll of toilet paper of the entire hostel (Lotte)
- Learning the difference between left and right (Lotte)
- Picture with the (half naked) hunk of Abercrombie and Fitch (almost whole group)
Group 6: (4 points)
- First place in solving the puzzle (whole group)
- Finding out that teachers are just normal people (Rhea)
- Longest hair (Sophie)
- Best map reader on her birthday (Rhea)
Group 7: (5 points)
- First place in Picture quiz tour (whole group)
- Strongest girl in swimming pool (Femke)
- Best Ping-Pong ball (Saskia)
- Best singer in the bus (Sarah)
- Solving 2 x 18 = 36 (Andrea)
Then finally, the teachers:
1 point for Miss Peters for speaking English so well, without being a TTO-teacher!
1 point for Mrs Engbersen for staying dry in the kajak
1 point for Mr Verstappen for being a body guard to some girls
1 point for Mr Op ‘t Eynde for solving a number puzzle in the evening
2 points for Mr Verstappen and Mr Op ‘t Eynde for the waitress at Mama Rosa
2 points for Miss Peters and Mrs Engbersen for NOT being in a picture with the (half naked) hunk at Abercrombie and Fitch (but we saw him in real!)
All students: thanks for your cooperation and entertainment! It was wonderful!
