Exchange with Denmark

In september 2010, the vwo 5 IB class went to Denmark. Last week, the Danish students came back. They arrived on Monday evening. We picked up the ones that stayed in host families.

On Tuesday, we went to school, to work on the commenius youth project. After that we went to Roermond. We got a tour around the water cleaning station. This was very interesting. When the tour was finished, we were dropped of at the outlet center, where we could do some shopping. In the evening, we went to the wok restaurant. The food was very good.

Wednesday, we had to get up early, because we went to Brussels. There we got a tour around the European Parliament. Also two Danish members of the European parliament gave a presentation. We got a little shopping time in Brussels, after that we went home. At night, we had a potluck party. This is a party where everyone brings food with him or her. We had a great dinner.

The last day, Thursday, we went to Amsterdam. We got a city tour by mister Fijen, and went to the Rijksmuseum. We also got some free time in Amsterdam. After we said goodbye to the Danes, we took the train back to Weert.
