On Monday 2 February the Regional Round Limburg-Brabant of the annual Junior Speaking Contest was held at our school. This is a speaking contest for second- and third-year TTO pupils.

The pupils had to give a speech, in English (maximum of 4 minutes /speech), relating to the themes Sports and/or Creativity. For our school Roel van Elferen (V2f) and Marijn Miller (V3d) gave it their all with respectively the subjects ‘WWE’ and ‘The creative mind of Hergé’. They did a great job, but unfortunately it wasn’t enough to bring home victory.

Maarten Smith (year 2) and Frederieke Gigase (year 3) were the big winners of this Regional Round and will be competing against the winners of the other Regional Rounds in the National Round which will be held on 7 April in Amersfoort.
