Last Thursday V2D and V3D, both TTO classes, enjoyed a lesson taught by guest speaker Mr Freek Boele, of Connekt - Duurzame Logistiek. Mr Boele spoke about his work within the logistics industry. This work involves advising companies, such as Coca Cola, Mars and Heineken, about sustainability and how they can run their companies in a “greener” way. The lesson also included an explanation an discussion about Global warming, and what we can personally do to limit its impact.The students were very enthusiastic, especially when they realized that they could win prizes for answering questions about the presentation. The lesson had to stop earlier than planned due to the school’s fire alarm going off, but Mr Boele wasn’t put off by this short interruption, and he completed his presentation after the unplanned break.
