Both winners of the school round of this year’s Junior Speaking Contest, Silvijn Korten (V2D) and Leonardo Verkoelen (V3D), went to Venlo on Thursday 2 February to take part in the JSC regional round. They were accompanied and supported by 2 classmates and team leader Peter van der Heijden.

This year the regional round was organized by College Den Hulster in Venlo.

According to classmate Lisanne Wetemans Leonardo’s speech was good for quite a few laughs.

Also the jury was impressed by Leonardo’s speech. He will represent the Philips in a couple of weeks in the national round of JSC 2012.
