On Wednesday, the 14th of december, at 10 o’clock, a tto clinic basketball was planned for the students of B1O in Aan de Bron.

The clinic was given by Jim Meil, coach of BS Weert (the local team in the major Dutch basketball league) and Demario Anderson, one of the players of the team.

Jim Meil is a 52 year old American who has lived and worked as a coach in Weert since August 2011. He comes from Baltimore and has been a professional basketball coach for 26 years now.

Demario Anderson is 26 years old, 1.93m tall and is an American professional basketball player, who has been playing in Europe for a couple of years now. This impressive guard plays with BS Weert, and is one of the top 3 scorers in the Dutch major Basketball league.

After they had introduced themselves to the group, it was time to start playing ball. The students practised a lot of dribbling, passing and shooting before ending up with a little game. Then, at 12 o’clock, when everybody was tired of running around, it was finally time to wrap it up.
